Mr. Chew Hoong Cheong, was appointed as Advisor on 1 January 2023. He graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Monash University, Australia in 1981 and a postgraduate Master of Applied Science in Resource Management from the now University of Canberra, Australia. Mr. Chew Hoong Cheong is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Grad. I.E.M) and is also a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). Mr. Chew Hoong Cheong joined the Taliworks Group in May 1990 as a Civil Engineer in the Operations and Maintenance section. He was transferred to Loji Air Sg Selangor Fasa 1 (SSP1) in 1993 as the Senior Engineer and later promoted as the Plant Manager from 1996 to 2000 where he successfully oversaw the Y2K rollover. From 2001 to 2020, Mr Chew Hoong Cheong held various positions as Senior Manager (O&M), Assistant General Manager, General Manager in January 2014 and he was promoted as Chief Operating Officer in January 2021 to overseeing the management, operations and maintenance of Water & Engineering Division. Captain Chew Hoong Cheong was commissioned into the 60 Rejimen Pakar Pengendalian Air RAJD (AW) in 1995 and has since retired from active voluntary service in February 2013.

Zulfikri b. Suboh, currently holding a position as General Manager to oversee the overall Operational work scopes of Sungai Harmoni Sdn Bhd (SHSB) and Water and Engineering Division of Taliworks Corporation Bhd (TCB). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University, New York, the USA in 1987. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (Grad. I.E.M) and is also a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). Recently he was elected as Malaysian Water Association (MWA) Committee Member.

Zulfikri began his career at Taliworks Consortium Sdn Bhd in 1987 as part of the team in the privatisation concession of Loji Rawatan Air (LRA) Sungai Semenyih in Selangor, the first water privatisation project in Malaysia. He was transferred to LRA Sg Selangor Fasa 1 (SSP1), in 1993 under Sg Harmoni Sdn Bhd (SHSB) to join the team that oversaw the initial operation of the plant. He was subsequently transferred to TCB Water & Engineering Division, HQ in 2011 to oversee operational and regulatory work scopes for SHSB and Taliworks Langkawi Sdn Bhd (TLSB). With more than 30 years’ experience with SHSB and TCB, Zulfikri has successfully oversaw various improvement programs that have resulted in an increase in plant capacity at reduced production cost at SSP1 and TLSB, NRW reduction in Pulau Langkawi and the implementation the of Quality Management System where SSP1 is currently certified with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISMS ISO/IEC 27001 and its Laboratory is accredited with ISO/IEC 17025. He is currently Chairman of Steering Committee for QMS ISO 9001, ISMS ISO/IEC 27001, Water Safety Plan and Competency Program (National Dual Training System and Recognition of Prior Achievement) to oversee implementation of these programs for TCB Water & Engineering Division.

Mr. Wong Voon Leong, is currently serving as the General Manager, Group Finance of Taliworks Corporation Berhad, a position he held since he joined the company in 2004. He qualified as an accountant and currently is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He was appointed as a director of SHSB on 18 May 2018.

Mohd Zaki Al-Hassan bin Mohamed Amran, was appointed as Deputy General Manager in January 2022 and holds a Bachelor (Chemical Engineering) degree from UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology), UK in 1996. He first joined SHSB in 1998 as a Shift Superintendent in the Production Section at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1). He was responsible for the optimum operation of SSP1 with regards to the chemical and energy consumption of the plant.

He was later in year 2000 appointed as Operation and R&D Engineer under Production Section expanding the roles for research and development for SSP1 operations. Several key areas involvement in the operation of SSP1 were ensuring compliance of water quality to the standards, optimum operation of large pumps, chemical and energy consumptions of the plant, performing large pumps performance testing, calibration of dosing pumps, performing tests on new chemicals, online streaming current detectors, one of key members for development of Quality Management System and Emergency Response Planning procedures.

In year 2006, he was appointed as Assistant Manager (Operations) assisting Plant Manager for overall daily operation of the Plant and to comply with relevant contractual and statutory requirement. Meeting with relevant government agencies and related parties for sharing information and related matters were part of the responsibilities during the period. He has been appointed as Plant Manager in 2011 and as Senior Manager (SSP1) in 2018. Now he is holding the post as Assistant General Manager and being fully responsible for overall operation and maintenance of SSP1.

Mus Mulyadi bin Ismail, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Liverpool, UK in 1998, a member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (Grad. I.E.M) and registered engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). He first joined SHSB in 2001 as a M&E Engineer and in 2006 he was transferred to Taliworks (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd. (TLSB) which is SHSB’s sister company who was given a 25-years concession period to operate, maintain and manage water supply system for Langkawi Island. During his 14 years with TLSB, he was assigned in various roles as Head of Mechanical, Assistant Manager Distribution and Manager Distribution and Consumer Affairs overseeing the management, operation and maintenance of mechanical system and equipment, distribution and pipe repair works, NRW, Geographical Information System and billing facilities in Langkawi. With the completion of the concession period of Langkawi Water Supply in 2020, he was promoted as Senior Manager, Operations & Maintenance and transferred to SHSB.

Mr. Lim Han Seng, currently hold a position as Senior Finance Manager since 2014. He graduated with a Diploma in Accounting. He first joined Taliworks Group in 1987 as an Administration Officer cum Senior Accounts Clerk. In January 1998, he was promoted to Finance Manager. He is responsible for the overall financial, accounting and taxation matters of the Company including preparing management accounts, financial reports, annual budgets and quarterly review forecasts and cash flow projection.
